Guiding principles

There are a series of slogans to be referenced “when the going gets tough”. They define and shape any organization that adopts them. And at ORYF, we’ve seen how guiding principles can pay off – in what we refer to as “The ORYF Way”.

We developed the ORYF Way because we believe the player-coach relationship can and should last a lifetime.

The friendships among teammates can be just as rewarding. Yet, it doesn’t stop there as it can extend to any

combination of people including our fans, ballplayers, coaches, team parents, scorekeepers, board members,

umpires, sponsors, volunteers and more.

  • At ORYF, the guiding principles we share every season to all our coaches, families, ballplayers, umpires, volunteers, and fans prior to every fall season are simple:
  • Respect – Create a positive and memorable experiences for every individual that you interact with.
  • Development – Teach fundamental football skills to every player.
  • Life Lessons – Take advantage of opportunities to show players how teamwork can overcome challenges.
  • Character – Demonstrate the impact of volunteerism and always lead by examples. Actions always speaks louder than words.

So, if you see any members of the ORYF community carry out “The ORYF Way”? Thank them because they

represent the best of ORYF – and are the very reason ORYF is the place to be for you and your player.
